Camila Pereira

Camila is a social impact leader with extensive experience in education and leadership development. She served as Chief Impact Officer at the Lemann Foundation, a prominent Brazilian nonprofit, where she led strategies to promote systemic change in Brazilian education and support leaders tackling social challenges.
Her work in advancing student learning includes large-scale initiatives to empower school leaders, such as professional development programs reaching thousands of principals, policy-level partnerships to enhance school leadership conditions, and professional networks that connected principals across Brazil and amplified their voices. This experience led her to serve on the Board of the Lemann Center at Sobral and as an independent expert on the Advisory Board of UNESCO’s upcoming GEM Report on School Leadership.
She currently serves on the boards of social impact organizations in Brazil and has mentored young talents, especially women, through programs like the Columbia Women's Leadership Network and Teach for All Brazil. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from PUC-Rio and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, focusing on the implementation of education reforms. Early in her career, she worked as a reporter and editor, writing about politics and education.
