Avni Gupta-Kagan

Avni Gupta-Kagan has over 20 years of experience working to improve education outcomes for children on a range of issues including human capital management, leadership development, strategic planning, and K-12 curriculum. Avni is a Human Capital Partner with the Urban Schools Human Capital Academy, and a consultant with a number of organizations on issues of school leadership and human capital.

Previously, Avni served as an Executive Director at New Leaders, leading the design, development and implementation of several national programs. She previously completed the New Leaders program and served as an Assistant Principal in the DC Public Schools, and was a middle school teacher and school founder. Avni was a Pahara-Next Gen Fellow and is the treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the Richland Library.

Avni has a Masters in Ed. Admin. from Trinity University, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and a B.A. from Yale College.
